What Does the Band Parent Association Do?
We support our band directors in providing a high-level music program.
We support the students in the music program.
We provide daily support during band camp,
We host a Silver Showcase Marching Band Festival.
We chaperone and move equipment during marching band season.
We sponsor the Region Band and All-State Band tryouts.
We host a concert band and a jazz band festival.
We host a premier indoor color Guard show.
We run our annual band trip to Florida or other locations.
We sponsor the end of year dinner where the seniors are recognized for their accomplishments, among many
We purchase needed equipment and instruments for the program.
We provide annual student scholarships ($5,000 distributed annually).
We pay all entry fees for marching band, the concert bands and the jazz bands. These fees alone exceed
$5,000 on an annual basis!
The JPS BPCGA has significant work and financial responsibility.
The JPS music program could not do what it does on such a high level without our continued support.
